Although he may deny it now, Bob was the first of the family to take notice of a Saluki at a show. We were showing Borzoi at the time, and he mentioned seeing a Saluki. With that, I started watching them at shows and found them intriguing. Salukis became a part of our family in 1976, just after the birth of our daughter Pamela.

We have been members of the Willamette Valley Saluki Club since its inception in 1980. I have held several offices over the years, but President has been my title for a number of years now. Bob has been Treasurer for many years. He has also been the Show Chairman for most of our Specialties. We have made many great friendships as a result of Salukis and the WVSC. It has been a very rewarding experience.

Bob doesn’t attend as many shows as he once did. Once Pamela grew up, he was content to man the home front while she and I travel to the shows. You will find Bob working hard at our club specialties – his yearly dog show event. You will find me at most of the local shows.
